Alexander Zaitchik is a freelance journalist with 20 years’ experience writing for newspapers, magazines and new media and editing publications in New York City, Prague and Moscow. While in college, he edited one of the country’s first online magazines, The Other Voice, which established a web presence in 1994. He has since reported from dozens of. countries for a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The International Herald Tribune, Salon, The Nation and many others.. Alexander and Jeff Koyen first worked together in the Czech Republic as co-editors of The Prague Pill, then later at New York Press, where they dramatically increased readership and took the pugnacious alt-weekly to a new level of national exposure. He is also the author of Common Nonsense: Glenn Beck and the Triumph of Ignorance (Wiley & sons, 2011).. He lives in Brooklyn, where he maintains a vigorous freelance schedule.
