After becoming Miss Krasnodar 2008, she went on, wearing a sash bearing the name of her home region of Krasnodarskiy kray, to become the "Pervaya vitse-miss" ("1st Runner-up") in the "Miss Rossiya" ("Miss Russia") pageant in 2009.
