Cristina was born in Anaheim, California, to Amato and Carol DiMatteo in 1980. She spent her teenage years on the central coast of California where she grew fond of theater, especially doing make-up.In 1999, she moved to Los Angeles to attend the Make-Up Designory, where she got certified in make-up FX, learning everything from beauty make-up, to mold-making prosthetics, to animatronics. From there, she did a couple of USC grad films, like Definite Maybe (2002) and Antebody (2005), and other films, including the short film Offside (2001).In 2002, she married Terrance Mohr. They have one son together.
