Arnold Fanning

Arnold Thomas Fanning is a writer, screenwriter and playwright. He has had short stories published and broadcast in Ireland, England and the USA. He wrote the screenplay for the short film "Still Rain" which was screened at the 2000 Cork International Film Festival, Ireland. "Making Ends Meet", a TV mini- feature co-written with Damien O'Donnell, was screened to great critical acclaim on RTE, Ireland's national television broadcaster, in 1999. He has received several awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, and has been a Visiting Fellow in the Virginia Centre for the Creative Arts, Virginia, USA, a Resident at the Edward F. Albee Foundation Residency, Montauk, Long Island, New York, as well as a Work Study Scholar at the Bread Loaf Writer's Conference, Vermont. His Play "Those Powerful Machines" debuted in The New Theatre as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival 2008.
