Mr. Al-Moatasim Billah Sharqawi is currently the Group CFO for AlNahla Group. The Group is owned by one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest and foremost families in trade & business. The family, based in Jeddah, has been an integral partner in the development of the country since 1930s.. The group consolidates their investments under the umbrella of. AlNahla and has substantial investments across the MENA region. It includes a number of operating companies such as: SAMACO, Fast, Jeddah Holding and Smile Telecom and is represented on the board of number public of companies such as Riyad Bank and Ettihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co.. Al-Moatasim has joined the group in 2007 and before that he worked for Ernst & Young Riyadh Office for 4 years. Al-Moatasim Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting Information systems from Central Michigan University, USA. He has also earned the CPA qualification from the state of Colorado, USA back in 2008 and is still actively licensed.. Al-Moatasim serves on the board of SMILE Telecoms Holdings and is a member of the audit Committees for: Ettihad Atheeb Telecom Company (A Saudi Publically Listed Company), Ithraa Capital (a licensed investment firm by the Saudi Capital Market Authority) and SMILE Telecoms Holdings.. Al-Moatasim’s intensive 12 years of work experience exposed him to a majority of functions across many sectors including financial and accounting, Debt & working capital restructuring, IT, HR, administration, strategic and financial planning, board and audit committee levels.
