Werner Fuetterer

German screen actor, popular in the 1930's. He grew up on his father's hacienda in Guatemala, returning to Germany at the end of World War I, subsequently taking acting classes at the Berliner Schauspielschule. Fuetterer began in silent films and was at his peak in the pre-war period, often playing second leads or the sympathetic friend of the hero. Relegated to supporting roles, he moved to Spain in 1957 and became proprietor of a caravan park.
