Christopher John Whitcomb was born in Hartford, Connecticut to Vanessa Moore, a retired probation officer, and John Whitcomb Jr., a retired judicial marshal. He is French, German, Ghanaian, Liberian, British, Irish and Nigerian. He grew up in the small town of Windsor, Connecticut and played sports such as baseball and basketball growing up. He appeared in plays at his elementary school as well as his church, and also played drums alongside his father in the church band. He attended Capital Preparatory High School until his junior year, and then transferred and graduated from Manchester High School in 2014. He played sports and appeared in plays in high school such as 'Hello, Dolly!' and 'High School Musical'. He also took acting and improv classes at Hartford Stage during his time in school. He then went on to pursue a BFA Theatre Performance degree from Central Connecticut State University before leaving school to make his film debut in the coming-of-age film Pitching Tents (2017).He has appeared in numerous amounts of plays and musicals, such as Young Frankenstein (Igor), Tuck Everlasting (Jesse Tuck), and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (Billy/Dr. Horrible). He also enjoys performing Shakespeare and has has been in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night. He often performs with New Zenith Theatre company based in Wethersfield, CT led by Emmy Award-winning producer and director Ed Wierzbicki. He has appeared in films such as Burial Ground Massacre (2021) and Damon's Revenge (2022), and is set to appear in the upcoming films Johnny & Clyde (starring Megan Fox and Avan Jogia), Merry Ex-Mas (starring Vanessa Angel and Jason London) and Junction (starring Bryan Greenberg, Sophia Bush and Jamie Chung). In addition to his acting career, he also makes music under the stage name 'Whitty' and writes and produces all of his own work. He is apart of a small Connecticut record label called Small City Music Group that also owns and operates a commercial recording studio (Small City Studios) in West Hartford, Connecticut.
