Alison joined Silixa in July 2016 as Executive Chairman.. She has spent her career in the energy sector in a wide range of functional and operational roles. After 18 years at Schlumberger, she embarked on a career with Royal Dutch Shell holding various roles, including the position of Executive Vice President of the tight/shale oil and gas. activities within the company’s Upstream International Division.. She has been Independent Non-Executive Director of United Utilities Group PLC since August, 2016; and Non-Executive Director of Meggitt PLC since October, 2014.. She holds a BSc in Mathematical Physics from Edinburgh University, a Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University, as well as honorary degrees from Dundee University and Heriot Watt University.. Ms Goligher is a member of SPE, SPWLA, IoD and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. She was recognised as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2005 New Year’s Honours List for services to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK.
