In her four films with Doris Day, Fraser played progressively older characters while Day remained the perpetual romantic lead. In Young at Heart, Fraser played Day's older sister; In Tunnel of Love, Fraser was an older neighbor from whom Day sought marital advice; In Glass Bottom Boat, Fraser (who by this point had gained a great deal of weight) was cast as Day's father's girlfriend and in Ballad of Josie, Fraser was the town Widow.
