Alex joined Opportunity Fund in 2010 to lead product and strategic partnerships through cross-sector collaboration to reach and deliver responsible capital to underbanked small businesses efficiently at scale. Most notably, he helped build the first CDFI-Fintech partnership with Lending Club, and recently introduced credit card revenue-based. repayment to the CDFI industry. Alex has spent almost a decade growing and modernizing CDFI microlenders. In 2009, he helped ACCION grow its West Coast lending program.. Alex serves as an advisor for CNote, a Y Combinator backed platform that connects social impact investors and Main Street small businesses. He also serves on the board of Global Brigades, the largest student-led cross-sector development NGO working in Central America. He lives in San Francisco when he’s not dreaming about fishing.
