Akshay joined Elevar in 2017 is a member of the India investing team. He believes that "Balancing socio-economic impact with commercial returns is a challenging problem worth tackling earnestly. The definition of 'underserved' will keep evolving and so will opportunities to deliver value through innovative scalable models.". Akshay joined Elevar with seven years of work experience. A large part of his experience is in the development, planning and execution of key cross-functional projects spanning sales, marketing, core operations, supply chain logistics, finance and human resources. These projects were focused on the improvement of the financial and operating performance of businesses in diverse industries and situations. Prior to Elevar, he worked with Amazon where he built the logistics backend for a new B2B venture. Previously, he was at the turnaround and performance improvement practice of Alvarez & Marsal, a global restructuring firm, where he worked with underperforming companies on cross-functional projects to achieve critical business objectives of all key stakeholders (promoters, investors, lenders and employees). Akshay started his career with Nomura in their fixed income derivatives business, serving institutional clients in the Asia region.
