Amanda is driven by the belief that fundamental improvements in healthcare will only come when researchers, clinicians and enterprises optimally use the massive amounts of data they generate. She co-founded Blackfynn to realize this vision.Amanda has 20 years’ experience in the biotechnology industry, clinical medicine, the business and strategy of. medicine and leveraging technology to change clinical practice.. Prior to joining Blackfynn, Amanda was Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Penn Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation. She is an internist who trained at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was on clinical faculty as a hospitalist. Before her medical career Amanda led business development for Valentis and Maxygen. Amanda completed her M.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and has a B.S. in Biology from Tufts University.
