Alain Renk is an architect, urban planner, entrepreneur, and researcher. He is one of the few professionals simultaneously involved in urban planning, digital innovation, and applied research. He is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation 7 billion Urbanists (Collaborative Urbanism Network), but also of the studio architectural HOST and of. the civic-tech UFO. Alain is passionate about the hybridization between the physical and digital worlds. He is also a Smart Cities advisor and co-founder of the Futuring Cities Initiative for IMT (Institut Mines-Telecom). All his activities have a main focal point : the advancement of urbanism and architecture through Collective Intelligence methods for building Contributory Cities.
