Alastair Dant is the Lead Interactive Developer at Riffyn, responsible for the development of Riffyn's visual interface for experimental process design, data acquisition and analytics. Alastair is an award-winning technologist previously specializing in digital news media and data visualization. His work has been recognized by the Malofiej. Awards, the International Academy of Digitial Arts and Sciences Webby Awards, the Sony Radio Academy Awards, and the Data Journalism Awards. Alastair previously worked as the News Analytics Lead at the New York Times, the Interactive Lead at the Guardian, and the Lead Developer at Mind Candy. His background in scientific computing includes a experiences as a senior consultant to IDBS and technical lead at BioMed Central and Current Controlled Trials. Alastair has a BS in Cognitive Science from University College London.
