Adam is a television and feature film director whose work includes award-winning drama and BAFTA winning shows.Over the past 15 years Adam has made flag-ship shows for the BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4 and has worked with many of the UK's most high profile television personalities. In that time he has directed an eclectic mix of popular series encompassing drama, comedy and documentary. He has directed hundreds of hours of television and his work has been sold all over the world. His work puts an emphasis on bold, stylish story telling and cinematic visuals.Adam has directed shows such as the BAFTA winning series 'The Revolution Will be Televised' for the BBC and Hattrick and the Netflix/ITV hit crime series 'The Investigator: A British Crime Story'. He is also used to working with high profile names such as Jack Whitehall, Jodie Whittaker, Alan Carr, David Beckham, Derren Brown, Russell Tovey, Sharon Horgan, Jim Jeffries, Tom Burke, Samuel L. Jackson and Ricky Gervais.Adam was profiled by Screen International as a 'Star of Tomorrow' and went on to direct his debut feature film 'Blackwood' that he made through his production company Wildcard Films. The supernatural thriller premiered at the London Film Festival and was released theatrically. The film has recently been sold to Universal and BBC America.Adam recently directed a comedy drama for Sky called 'Behold The Monkey'. Shot in Spain with an entirely Spanish cast but narrated by Tamsin Greig (Episodes), the comedy drama was nominated for 'best scripted programme' at the Broadcast Awards and has been sold to Showtime and Canal+. Critics praised it for it's creative visuals, strong performances and warmth.Wildcard Films was set up to make the short film ROAR starring Russell Tovey and Jodie Whittaker which became part of the official selection at many of the worlds highest profile festivals, and won major jury awards at both Aspen and Rhode Island. It is now being developed into a TV series.Adam's follow-up comedy short film called 'First Time' was theatrically released through LionsGate ahead of the Werner Herzog's movie 'The Bad Lieutenant'.Overlapping, Adam directed the ITV hit crime series 'The Investigator'. Exec produced by Simon Cowell and his production company Syco the is now available as a Netflix Original series. Adam is an award winning television and film director living in London.In 1997 Adam moved to London to study BA Film and Television Arts at the University of Westminster, specialising in directing and graduating in 2000. His graduation film 'Angel Cake' which was shot in his hometown in West Yorkshire went on to find success at various international film festivals. Having gained attention from the industry, Adam quickly became a professional director working initially in music videos and commercials and then progressed into television.Over the past decade Adam and has made a wide variety of popular, award-winning shows for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. In that time he has been responsible for directing hundreds of hours of programming and over 25 million pounds worth of content. In 2011, Screen International selected Adam as one of their 'Stars of Tomorrow'.Adam recently directed his first feature film called 'Blackwood'. A supernatural thriller which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2013. He is now setting up his next feature, a conspiracy thriller called 'the Mandrake Experiment' with his partners at Wildcard films.Prior to working in features in 2009 Adam directed the short film Roar for Wildcard Films, starring Russell Tovey and Jodie Whittaker. The film has since won major awards at the prestigious Aspen and Rhode Island Film Festivals and has helped secure his signing with the Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavour and Independent Talent in London.In 2010 Adam directed a follow-up short film called First Time. The film was given a National theatrical release alongside Nicholas Cage's 'The Bad Lieutenant'.
