Ms. Pappas is the General Counsel and Secretary for EVOQ Properties. She is a member of the company’s senior management team and participates in strategic planning for the company’s portfolio and other corporate matters, and is responsible for all legal aspects of managing the company’s assets, including its real estate dispositions, financings,. leasing and joint venture investments. She also oversees corporate governance activities for the company’s board of directors and manages compliance issues. Since joining the company upon its emergence from bankruptcy protection in July, 2011, she has led the negotiation and successful resolution of several pre-petition and post-petition claims as well as the restructuring and refinancing of secured debt. Prior to joining EVOQ Properties, Ms. Pappas was an attorney with the global law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP, where she represented clients on a broad range of real estate and corporate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and real estate-related lending, workouts and restructurings. She has extensive experience in representing institutional landlords and major corporate clients in office and retail leasing and lease related matters. Ms. Pappas holds a BA from UCLA and received her JD from Loyola Law School and is a member of the California State Bar.
