Ali Chowdhury is a world-renowned expert and respected scholar on renewable energy with over 20 years of electric utility and electric equipment manufacturing industry experience. He conducted 80,000+ Megawatts (MW) of renewable generation interconnection studies at the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) as Director of Infrastructure. Development, and secured ISO Board approval for over $10 billion for high voltage transmission lines (Sunrise, Tehachapi, Colorado River to Valley, and Ivanpah to El Dorado projects) for the California ISO transmission grid.. Prior to CAISO, Ali held senior management positions with MidAmerican Energy Company, GE Company, Atlantic Nuclear Services and Alberta Power Limited. A Fellow of IEEE (USA) and IET (UK), Ali has authored and published numerous books and technical papers on renewable energy worldwide.
