By profession Alan is an interaction designer, user researcher, usability tester, instructional designer, author editor, and teacher. In life I am an outdoor enthusiast, amateur photographer, and father. Alan’s career in digital began when he was contracted to write a series of technology-themed textbooks for McGraw-Hill. That led to copywriting. for a small interactive agency, information architecture, and eventually interaction design. After 6 years of agency work for dozens of high-profile clients, Alan joined Sabre as an interaction designer and product manager of enterprise software for the global airline industry. A decade later, he is still at Sabre solving mind-numbingly complex problems. Throughout his career Alan has kept a foot in Education, leading the development of web-based learning applications for K-12. He still picks up web and mobile projects on the side when friends and family bug him enough.
