Abigail was appointed Deputy Director of the National Literacy Trust in March 2010. Before that, she led a local government improvement programme at Museums, Libraries and Archives London and, from 1999 to 2009, was at Arts Council England, London, latterly as Director of Children and Young People’s Strategy.
