Alex graduated from the University of Regina in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Medical Sciences. He began his career in law enforcement, working within the youth criminal justice system and as an inspector with customs & immigration. He transitioned to insurance in 2000, working for elite multi-national insurance. brokers. Eventually, he became the Western Regional Manager for one of Canada’s largest insurers.. Invention development became a hobby and he was awarded U.S. Patent no. 7,322,434 B1, Collapsible Golf Scooter Cart Having Fold Out Balance Wheels. GoCaddy International Ltd. was incorporated in 2011 and Alex, as sole proprietor, began working with U.S. scooter manufacturer, GoPed Ltd, on prototypes for what would later be called “The GoCaddy”. Alex remains the inventor and sole director of GoCaddy International Ltd. with a vision of an official launch of his product early in 2016 at the PGA Merchandise Show and Golf Industry Shows.
