Alex focuses on investments in frontier technologies (such as artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous driving), enterprise software, semiconductor, autotech, etc. Prior to Qiming, Alex worked for KPCB (Kleiner Perkins). Before. beginning his investment career, Alex worked for HP (Hewlett-Packard) and oversaw the company's data storage business unit in China. Alex also co-founded a big data startup company.. Alex was recognized as the Top 10 Best Technology Investors by Huxiu.com, the Top 10 Artificial Intelligence Investors by Securities Times, and the Top 20 Semiconductor Investors by 36Kr in 2021.. Alex holds an M.B.A. degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology.. Alex is currently serving as a member of the Industry Advisory Committee of the Beijing Stock Exchange. Before beginning his investment career, Alex worked for HP (Hewlett-Packard), where he gained deep exposure across such various functions as engineering, sales and marketing, and management.
