Alan is Principal of ITS Global which consults to the public and private sectors on international trade, resources, economic development, investment and sustainability, with a particular focus on Asia and the Pacific.. He is also chairman of the Australian APEC Study Centre at RMIT University, Melbourne and is a Member of the Advisory Board of. the European Centre for International Political Economy in Brussels. ITS Global has close affiliations with public policy think thanks in the US and Southeast Asia.. Alan is regarded a leading authority on international trade and investment and is staunch advocate of free trade. He is a regular commentator in Australia and global media including wire services, Forbes, The Asian Wall Street Journal, Jakarta Post, Bangkok Post, CNBC, Bloomberg and Xinhua.. Before establishing ITS in 1990, Alan was a career diplomat. He served in Singapore, at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva.
