Alberto was a Managing Member and portfolio manager for Pani, Bekaert, Pluim Capital, LLC a global macro Hedge Fund. Previously, he was the Chief of Staff of the undersecretary of power, in the Ministry of Energy in Mexico where he headed the government's efforts in power sector reform.. During his time at the Ministry of Energy, he met his. fellow e3 founding members. He holds a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and a graduate degree in Dynamic Econometric Systems from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.. He wrote his thesis on cointegration models for long run equilibrium in fossil fuel prices. Alberto Pani received his M.B.A. degree from the Haas Graduate School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
