As a Senior Product Manager at Affectiva, Abdo Mahmoud leads product strategy and development of the company’s Automotive AI and Emotion SDK. He collaborates with Japanese and European OEMs and Tier I suppliers on building the first ever deep learning based in-cabin sensing platform. He has 5+ years experience building Emotion AI product where he. helped evolve emotion recognition from niche technology to leading AI that is transforming industries. Prior to product management, Abdelrahman held a unique position at Affectiva where he worked both on the engineering and the Applied AI teams, developing the core facial expression recognition technology and porting it to multiple platforms including mobile, Windows and Linux. Mahmoud holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo.
