Luca Tomassini is a contemporary film music composer and formerly ukulele player born in Rome, Italy. He grew up studying the piano, showing a keen interest for the music of Claude Debussy and Erik Satie. Later on he became popular among the ukulele community under the artist name of Jontom. He extensively performed the instrument worldwide also being featured at the 41st Edition of the Ukulele Festival Hawai'i as a solo artist.His musical style can be described as a blend of extremely different cultures such as the impressionism mixed with acoustic raw instruments and cutting edge synthesizers. He tends to embed electronic elements as a heritage of a video game culture brought into new realms of musical experimentation. The results can often be described as atypical compositions, unexpected musical digressions, and emotional soundscapes.
