Alex joined Citi Ventures in January of 2013 and is chiefly responsible for designing and deploying an innovation lab network across Citi's global enterprise. This signature initiative is aimed at focusing Citi's businesses on driving new and more disruptive growth in the financial services industry.. Prior to Citi, Alex worked at. Monitor Doblin as a Senior Manager and Innovation Strategist in the San Francisco office. As a design-trained business leader, she used innovation discipline and design thinking to help enterprises plan and execute transformational growth beyond their core businesses. She managed client relationships and led interdisciplinary teams across a variety of innovation projects (strategy setting, new business/offering development, capability building) and was actively involved in developing next generation ideas and methods to better serve the innovation needs of clients.. Alex has a Masters of Design from the Institute of Design in Chicago and her B.A. from Amherst College in Russian Studies. She lives in Palo Alto with her husband and daughter and is an avid hiker and gardener.
