Alex Moukas is the Founder & CEO of wappier. He is a serial entrepreneur with $1B+ exits - he sold one of his companies at 27, took another company public in London at 33, and completed Velti's NASDAQ IPO at 39. His 2013 transaction with Blackstone, to take Velti private was recognized by M&A Advisor as the “2013 Restructuring Deal of. the Year under $1 billion”.. Alex was the CEO of Velti, a global mobile marketing software provider with presence in 25 countries. He co-founded the company in 2000, grew it to 1,250 employees, and he is still non-exec chairman. Mobclix, a Velti subsidiary focusing on monetization SDKs for mobile application developers had more than 40,000 mobile publishers integrated on its platform. He previously co-founded FCI, a privately-held, strategic sourcing software provider in Cambridge, MA, which was later acquired by SAP AG.. He has authored a book on Artificial Intelligence published by Springer and has more than 50 publications in scientific journals and conferences. He holds 12 US and international patents, in the fields of Mobile Technology and Artificial Intelligence.. Alex is an industry speaker to the likes of Bloomberg, CNBC, MWC, Mobile Marketer and sat on the Global Board of the Mobile Marketing Association. He has been voted as one of the 10 most important people in Mobile Technology globally by Business Insider, a Top Global leader under 40 by Global Telecoms Business Magazine and was a Finalist for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Northern California..
