Alison Kay

Alison Kay is the Global Vice-Chair of Industry at EY. In this role, Alison oversees over 52,000 industry specialists, and is responsible for ensuring EY is at the forefront of industry disruption and convergence issues. Alison is focused on enabling EY to develop innovative, sectorspecific solutions that address the critical issues facing business. today. She is also changed with delivering programs that support EY’s client service professionals to develop deep industry knowledge and sector expertise that helps clients to navigate the challenges of disruption. Alison also has extensive client serving experience. She is currently EY’s Global Client Service Partner for Unilever, leading the global account team in helping the company to solve some of their most complex issues. Prior to this, she was the Global Client Service Partner for National Grid and built strong relationships with many of the world’s leading P&U companies. Previous to Alison’s Vice Chair appointment, she was the Global Power and Utilities Sector Leader, leading a global team of 3,500 professionals in providing assurance, tax and transaction and advisory services to the sector. Alison joined EY in 2007. Prior to this, she spent several years as a partner in the utility sector for Accenture, working with clients on generation, transmission and retail issues. Before joining Accenture, she spent four year with United Utilities. A prominent advocate for diversity and inclusiveness, Alison has a performance-based perspective on the links between diversity and business performance. She is a passionate voice in the debate on the need for increased diversity on executive boards. Alison was named one of the LinkedIn Top Voices for 2016 in the U.K. Alison is a graduate from the UK’s University of Sheffield, and holds an MBA from the Manchester Business School. She is married, has two young children and enjoys sailing, running and spending time with family. She is also an accomplished pianist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Music.
