Alastair was a Partner of Lazard LLP, Director of BNP and a Founder Partner of Ark Securities. He has analysed and advised hundreds of companies, both private and public, on strategy, development, fund-raising and exits. Alastair has also advised many institutions on their public and private investments, latterly in the smallcap and micro-cap. space.. Alastair has invested in dozens of private companies over the years, advising management on strategy – both financial and commercial – and helping guide them towards exit, both trade sales and IPO. He was on the advisory team that listed Genentech and Biogen in London, two of the first ‘pure’ University spinouts in the 1980's
