Rullán obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree (1990) and a Master of Engineering degree (1988) from Lehigh University in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science degree (1985) from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, Dean Rullán also teaches, in the Industrial Engineering Department, courses mostly related to Automation, Robotics,. Computers in Manufacturing Control, Plant Layout, and Material Handling. His research areas include PLC software development, the use of PC's in industrial control, and product design, development and manufacturing.
