Among all titles I have, the one I’m the most proud of is "The Very First Salesforce Developer in China". Challenges expected :) I started as a .NET developer when I was college and became a Salesforce developer from 2004. Years after that, I started a Salesforce consulting business offering development services to Salesforce customers.. For the first decade, we had explored various opportunities that could produce more value. Among them, Charket became a real one. We first validated the idea back in 2013 shortly after WeChat introduced business accounts. We always wanted to integrate WeChat with Salesforce before that but could not do so until WeChat opened APIs with their business accounts.. People asked where we came up with the name "Charket". We did not have the name at the beginning. The name was only invented 3 years later. We googled names in order to find one not used by others and still relevant to what we did. "Charket" came from the combination of Chat & Market because Live Chat is the most important part of Charket. A client, later, told us "Charket" stood better for China & Market. We couldn’t agree more and started telling the Charket for China Market story :). The Charket initiative was started as a side project by only 2 developers. Over the years, our team has become much bigger and we've added a lot of features to the app thanks to great feedback from our customers. Charket today supports Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Pardot. What makes Charket unique and gives Charket competitive advantages is, Charket connects WeChat into Salesforce with no servers in between. By doing so, Charket offers the best performance and the highest level of data security. Already packed with a lot of features for WeChat marketing, social selling/commerce and customer care, Charket is also flexible enough to be customized to meet ever-changing business needs, thanks to the award-winning underlying force.com platform that Charket is built on.
