I was born on September 10, 1955 at Ohafia, Abia State of Nigeria. I am married with 3 children.. I hold degrees in Statistics & Financial Management; PGD in Computer Science & Financial Policy and Certificate in Macro-economics. I have more than 30 years managerial experience gained mostly in the food and beverages industry, with a lot. of international gastronomic experience. I was adjudged the “Best Young Manager in Nigeria” in 1987.. In October 2013, I applied for the franchise of SUBWAY, the global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain with more than 42,000 outlets and was told that SUBWAY, unfortunately, was not disposed towards opening a restaurant in Nigeria for the time being. Highly disappointed, I immediately went to work to develop my own brand of a QSR - THE SUB SHOP.. Determined to get what it takes to run a QSR, I found a restaurant I paid AED 12,500 - the equivalent of US$3,500 for 1 week training in a Dubai Restaurant to learn about operating a quick service restaurant.
