As vice president of solar development, Aaron Gillmore is responsible for business development, deal structuring and negotiations of strategic transactions. Aaron utilizes his development experience and SolarCity's vertically integrated approach to optimize economic outcomes for large government and private sector clients nationwide. Prior to. joining SolarCity, Aaron was SVP of development for Actus Lend Lease—a subsidiary of global real estate developer Lend Lease. With Actus' focus on Public-Private Partnerships, Aaron led diverse real estate development, finance, legal, asset and property management, and design and construction teams through transactions ranging from $250M to $2.2B throughout the United States—including several unprecedented rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. Other career experience includes business development for MWH, and serving as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the US Navy. Aaron earned degrees in Environmental Engineering (MS) from the University of California, Berkeley and Civil Engineering (BS) from CalPoly, San Luis Obispo. He has also completed Executive Education in Leadership & Strategy at Columbia Business School, is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer and was selected as one of Building Design + Construction Magazine's "40 under 40" in 2007.
