Alexander van Wassenaer, Partner, joined Egeria in February 2014.. Alexander has been active in private equity since 2001, first as a partner in the direct buyouts team at AlpInvest, and subsequently at Taros Capital. Alexander also owns several small innovative companies.. Alexander started his career at McKinsey & Company’s Amsterdam. office and worked there from 1989 till 2001. At McKinsey, Alexander was a principal, responsible for the Benelux corporate finance practice. Alexander holds an engineering degree in Agricultural Economics from Wageningen Agricultural University and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University.. At Egeria, Alexander is responsible for Egeria’s longhold portfolio, including M&G Group, Royal Mosa, Sif Group and Vendor. He is also a member of the Supervisory Boards of these companies.
