Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Regulatory Commission of Media and Communications.. Dr. Ali N Al-Khwildi holds a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Brunel, United Kingdom in 2007, and a Master's degree in Network Engineering, University of London (South Bank), in the United Kingdom. in 2002.. He is a Member of the U.S. Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a Member of the British Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Member of Al-Kindy Society of Engineers.. He represented Iraq in a number of international conference and delegations such as; The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Arab and various International Conferences.. Dr. Ali continues to be involved in the academic development of mobile and wireless communications. He is a Member of a working group (WNCG) at University of Brunel in research process in the telecommunications sector concentrating on 3G and 4G systems.. He has authored more than 20 research articles in the field of wireless communications that were published in conferences and scientific journals around the world. Furthermore he published a number of technical articles in the Iraqi Ministry of Communications (ITPC) and Communications, Media and Communications (CMC) magazines. He participated as an observer in a number of wireless communications conferences in; Europe, USA and the Middle East as a specialist in 3G and 4G networks.. He is also the author of a book on the "Role of Regulatory Bodies in The Telecommunications Sector", which was published in 2012.. He also author of a 2 chapters of a book “Mobile Ad Hoc Networks: Current Status and Future Trends” shared with Dr Jonathan Loo. UK 2012.. Also the author of a book” Modern Communication Systems", which was published 2016.. As the Chief of the Iraqi regulatory Commission, he prepared the guidelines and the strategy for the “Rules of Procedures” and participated in the preparation of the professional “Code of Practice” and rules governing Radio and Telecommunications and Wireless Regulations.
