Lal Mohammad Iqbal was a two-man film music composing duo from Karachi, Pakistan. Lal Mohammad and Buland Iqbal (1930 - 25 July 2013). They first shot to fame in Pakistan with the super-hit film ''Jaag Utha Insan" (1966). This film's song 'Dunia Kisi Ke Pyar Mein Jannat Se Kam Nahin' , composed by Lal Mohammad Iqbal , sung by Mehdi Hassan and written by the poet Dukhi Premnagri became a mega-hit song in Pakistan and India. Then they had another hit film song in film Naseeb Apna Apna (1970) (1970) sung by Ahmed Rushdi. Runa Laila sang another hit film song composed by them in film "Pazeb" (1972) - 'Humein Aaj Apna Banao Tau Jaanein'. Buland Iqbal was the son of famous Pakistani sarangi player Ustad Bundu Khan. His brother, Umrao Bundu Khan, also is a sarangi player in Karachi. Towards the end of his career and in his old age, Buland Iqbal used to teach classical music to his students in Karachi.
