Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim is the Head of Emerging Markets at VEON leading the Algeria, Bangladesh, and Pakistan markets and a member of VEON’s Group Executive Committee. In addition to this role, Aamir is also the Chief Executive Officer of Jazz, Pakistan’s leading telecom operator with over 50 million subscribers. Prior to his position has CEO, Aamir. was Jazz’s Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer.. Aamir has over two decades of international experience across multiple industries and continents. Before Jazz, Aamir was the Senior Vice President for the Telenor Group, where he led distribution initiatives across Asia. Aamir has also held senior leadership positions at Telenor Pakistan, Ford Motor Company, Jaguar and Land Rover. He brings with him a wealth of experience specifically in strategic marketing, sales and distribution, analytics, government and regulatory management, business planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, and public relations.. Aamir is a British Pakistani, with an undergraduate degree in Accounting from The University of Texas and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland. In 2012, Aamir received an Advanced Management Program diploma from Harvard Business School. He has lived and worked across multiple cultures and countries including Thailand, Pakistan, the UK, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and the United States.
