Alex Kirk is Vice-President Quality & Automotive LED. Prior to his current position, Mr. Kirk served as Vice-President and General Manager of the Category Automotive LED within Philips Automotive Lighting – a business group of Royal Philips dedicated to providing best in-class lighting solutions in the Automotive Aftermarket and Original. Equipment Manufacturer and Supplier markets (OEM, OES).. Previously, Mr. Kirk was the General Manager of Singapore Operations at Philips Lumileds where he also served as Senior Director of Lean Operations, responsible for driving and implementing lean operations worldwide in both Supply Chain and Operations.. In total, he brings 25 years of experience within the semiconductor and components industry holding various management roles in manufacturing, supply chain, innovation and development, and lean operations as well as his current business management role. Starting his career in the United Kingdom, he has subsequently worked in the Netherlands, China, Singapore and the USA.. As a native of Scotland, Mr. Kirk holds a BSc in Technology and Business Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
