Aleksandar (Sasa) Gargenta was formerly the chief technologist at Marakana. Having delivered training courses for clients such as Dell, AOL, Apple, Adobe, and Disney, Aleksandar is always at the cutting edge of technology. Aleksandar was the chief architect of the Marakana Training Management system known as Spark, built using best-of-breed Java. and open-source frameworks and systems.. In his spare time, Aleksandar runs the San Francisco Java User Group (sfjava.org) with hundreds of members.. Before Marakana, Aleksandar was a senior developer at Docspace, later acquired by Critical Path, where Aleksandar architected and developed some of Critical Path’s enterprise-grade web and messaging systems.. Aleksandar Gargenta holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
