Alexandra Pittman is the Founder and CEO of ImpactMapper and HERO Index. She has a PhD in Sociology and Cultural Psychology from Boston College and held a postdoctorate position at Harvard University, researching the role of brand in international nonprofits and philanthropies. Alexandra Pittman advises and supports donors, nonprofits, and. corporations in the process of tracking impact, aligning values with resources, and identifying what works. For 16 years, she has worked with organizations to fast-forward bold and transformational change through intuitive data solutions. Her specializations are in impact metrics development and methodology, gender equality, and human rights and she has expertise in the tech for good, fintech, and data science spaces. She serves as an advisor for multiple philanthropies, impact accelerators, investors and startup companies, and in 2020 was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as an innovative tech founder, integrating sustainability and impact into tech products. In 2022, an article she wrote was published and featured in Responsible Investor on the power of equitable AI in philanthropic and impact investment spaces.
