Abhi is the Managing Partner at Alkeon, enterprise-infrastructure investing on the West Coast in sectors such as cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and big-data analytics. He has more than 12 years of operational and investment experience. Abhi is currently involved in Battery investments including Databricks, Expel, Fungible, InfluxData, Jask,. JFrog, and Streamsets.. Before joining Battery, Abhi was a partner at Intel Capital, the investment arm of chip giant Intel Corp., where he focused on early- and growth-stage investing in areas including big-data analytics, mobile/IoT and broader infrastructure. At Intel Capital, he helped lead investments in category-defining companies such as Recon Instruments (acquired by Intel), EyeFluence (acquired by Google), iZettle, Urban Airship, Inrix and Brit+Co. He also served as a board observer at Kaltura, CashStar and Apperian.. Prior to Intel Capital Abhi spent over six years at Qualcomm Research in various operational roles. He built the industry leading APM solution for mobile handsets and backbone networks. Abhi was also involved with the incubation and design of Qualcomm’s LTE technology and managed strategic partnerships with OEMs, infrastructure vendors and carriers.. Abhi holds an MS in computer science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA, with honors, from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
