Alisa Amupolo

Alisa Amupolo joined PowerCom as CEO in March 2016, a 100% subsidiary of Telecom Namibia since 2013. She is currently driving the infrastructure business which is servicing the entire value chain of the industry ranging from MNOs, TV and radio Broadcasters as well as other players in the transmissions space across a wide spectrum of industries. ranging from aviation, security , rail to mention but a few.. Prior to that she was a techpreneur in digital space delivering front end solutions and non-executive director at MTC for nearly 3 years. She was also the Strategic Advisor and Transformation Project Manager during the sector reform and transformation from the old regulatory dispensation under NCC to a new regulatory regime under CRAN. Prior to that she worked for the Commonwealth Secretariat ICT programme servicing the 58 member countries and earlier in her career also served Namibia Broadcasting Corporation.. She holds a Masters in International Communications from the University of Leeds which focused on telecommunications as well as a BA in Media and Communications studies from UNAM. She is also an alumni of London Business School’s Emerging Leaders Programme.. She is currently a Choiseul Laurate and was featured in both 2016 and 2017 edition of the Choiseul 100 Africa among Africa’s 200 top economic leaders below 40.
