Alberto Martin is the General Counsel of Celistics, a global leader in Intelligent Logistics. Martin is responsible for the worldwide legal affairs of Celistics and its subsidiaries. In his role, Martin is responsible for all legal affairs worldwide, including corporate governance, intellectual property matters, contracts, and mergers and. acquisitions. Additionally, Martin is also responsible for the efficient administration of the corporate legal affairs of the company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements; and for ensuring that decisions of the Board of Directors are clearly communicated, implemented and upheld by the Management team.. Martin leads a team of legal professionals at Celistics who are responsible for the timely and cost effective provision of legal advice to the various business units, as their needs dictate. As Corporate Secretary Martin advises Celistic’s Board of Directors on corporate affairs and regulatory compliance and legislations.. Throughout his career, Martin has advised several leading technology companies on a variety of legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, patent programs, litigation, and intellectual property. Martin has a PhD in Law and has a specialization on trade law and finance from the University of Comillas in Madrid where he currently also serves as a Professor. Before joining Celistics, he spent his career at Spain’s most prestigious law Firm, Ramon Hermosilla & Gutierrez de la Roza where he built a worldwide legal organization, managed strategic transactions, legal affairs for telecommunications and IT companies.
