Alison Bulbeck

Alison Bulbeck has been a Senior Business Engagement Manager at Defence Equipment & Support at GlaxoSmithKline since 2007, before which she was an associate on GSK’s IT Graduate programme.. Alison’s current role in R&D IT enables her to provide business analysis, process improvement and change services across a broad range of IT. initiatives supporting R&D clinical processes. She has chaired the R&D IT community of practice for Business Analysts and Business Consultants since 2006, and is a keen member of the IIBA.. Alison has a passion for the human-centric aspects of IT systems, hence her goal is to consider the impact of change on people’s job role and to partner with them to manage change.. Alison Bulbeck is currently reading for her Doctoral thesis at Brunel University which she is on track to complete in 2014. Her domain of research is centred on human-centric impacts of Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) in global organisations.. Alison is writing an academic research paper exploring the implementation challenges of an integrated VLE from an interpretivist perspective which will be published in summer 2012.. She will present her research at Brunel Business School's eLearning Web 2.0 Conference in June 2012.
