Alik Shimelmits serves as Gilat’s Vice President of Research and Development. Mr. Alik Shimelmits has nearly 20 years of experience in research and development. He has served in various technological positions at ECI Telecom, most recently as Head of Transport Networks, where he managed a multi-disciplinary, multi-geographical organization,. building and managing new development groups in remote locations. Previously, Alik served as VP R&D for Axerra, leading the company’s technology activities. He is the co-author of three patents. Alik holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics.
