Professor Ahn has the expertise in finance, and has been teaching at Seoul National University since 2004. He was the former president of Korea Capital Market Institute (KCMI). In addition to his research careers, Ahn has hands-on experiences as well. He was the Head of ‘Quant Strategy’ in the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), in which he provided. investment solution based on statistics for market changes. Professor Ahn was offered tenure by Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina, but he ultimately declined the offer as he was determined to educate students in Korea. Ahn received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance from Korea University, and got his Ph.D. from New York University.
