Derrick Taylor was born on January 11, 1969 on the Westside of Chicago to Florine Taylor, and Leo Reid. Derrick always knew he had a passion for acting as he would always portray famous actors as a kid. Derrick later moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1991 to finish college at Cardinal Stritch University. While working in the banking industry, Derrick continued to study acting through Madison Family Theatre Co. He has taken classes at the acclaimed Act One Studios in Chicago Illinois. Derrick has done many commercials, and films throughout his 4-year acting career. Derrick is one of the Midwests up and comers, and with the help of his agents, Derrick will be a Hollywood leading man in no time.
