This includes maintaining Christie’s commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards at its facilities. Al-Karim also manages quality improvement initiatives which. continually allow Christie to improve its ability to provide innovative, industry-first projector solutions to business, entertainment and industry.. Al-Karim has over 20 years of experience working in the quality field within different industries such as consumer goods, automotive and aerospace. Before joining Christie, Al-Karim was the director of quality and regulatory systems for Honeywell’s aerospace division in Mississauga, leading a reduction of quality escapes to customers by 40% annually. He also developed and implemented a process to ensure all technical and manufacturing issues were addressed within 24 hours.. As quality assurance manager at Lear Corporation, Al-Karim developed strategies resulting in an 80% improvement in outgoing quality and recognition as one of the “most improved supplier’s for GM Oshawa” in 2002.
