Mr. Baig has more than 23 years of management and leadership experience in both private and public sectors in the areas of management strategies, solutions architecture, systems integration, analytics, application development, broadband network design, and technical support. For the last 13 years under his leadership, the City of Oakland has. acquired and successfully deployed many complex technology programs.. Currently, as a CIO, Mr. Baig is primarily responsible for operating, maintaining and supporting the City IT infrastructure. Mr. Baig holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Karachi University, Pakistan and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from City College New York.
