Albert-Jan was formerly EMCF's Chief Information Officer. He joined Fortis in 2006 to help develop EMCF and has been responsible for all aspects of IT outsourcing and insourcing, as well as business development.. Albert-Jan began his career in the finance industry developing an electronic trading system for futures for one of the Euronext. predecessors in 1992. He was responsible for the migration of equity options in Amsterdam from floor trading to electronic trading. He held various management positions at Euronext in business development as well as in IT with an emphasis on derivatives trading.. Albert-Jan holds a PhD in theoretical physics.
